You can choose from a variety of massages;

Before having any treatment we ask you to complete a medical history form, this is for your protection so that we are able to offer you the correct therapy for your personal situation.  We would recommend a full consultation before going ahead with any treatments, as often pain that you think is just associated with muscles can have an underlying cause, whether that be stress or misaligned bones.

Please be aware that massage and any other therapies offered at Good Vibrations are purely holistic and we do not treat or cure.  Please also note that although you will be asked to disrobe, massage is not a sexual service.

Aromatherapy Massage

Adding Aromatherapy essential oils enables us to treat the mind and body and therefore soothe the soul!
The oils work both physiologically and psychologically; affecting you both physically and emotionally!  This can be anything from just relaxing, de-stressing or uplifting to actually helping specific ailments and conditions.

Deep Tissue Massage (this is often referred to as Swedish Massage)

The therapist uses a carrier oil and deep tissue massage techniques to work muscles which are in spasm or affected by lesion and/or adhesions.

When a muscle is in spasm it can be very painful as it isn’t functioning properly because it is permanently in contraction; a therapist can help this by working out the spasm and restoring the muscle to its normal function.  Lesions and adhesions feel like knots, and again the therapist works these out getting rid of toxins and lactic acid to allow the smooth functioning of the muscle tissue.  Lymphatic drainage techniques are also utilised to help the body rid itself of the toxins and lactic acid build up.

Although this process can be painful, the end result is less pain and muscles that function in a normal range.  However if there is an underlying cause to the muscles not functioning correctly more than one treatment may be required.

Indian Head Massage

Indian Head massage, also known as Champissage (possibly a portmanteau of chāmpi, the Hindi term for the practice, and massage), is a trademarked term for an alternative medicine massage therapy.

In Champissage, the head, neck, shoulders and face are massaged with the purpose of manipulating energy channels. The goal is to clear blocks in these energy channels that cause a build-up of negative energy that are purported to cause ailments. The belief is when the energy does not flow properly, negative energy builds up, causing common ailments, including stress, pain, nociception pains and aches, and baldness or hair loss.

Champissage is practiced all over Europe and was brought to the west by Narendra Mehta in the 1970s
Here at Good Vibrations we believe that Indian Head massage is a great tool for stress relief and relaxation.   Also there is no need to disrobe so a private area is not required.

Stone Massage

Here the therapist uses hot and cold stones to enhance the massage which aids a deeper massage, breaking down adhesions and aiding lymphatic drainage. Very relaxing.
