I have been attending Good Vibrations since it opened at Harbury House. I have a lower back and shoulder problem which means I have been unable to exercise for seven years. I have found by using the Power Plate machines regularly that both problems have been eased and I have been able to sleep without discomfort. I would definitely recommend Good Vibrations.

I have suffered from fibromyalgia for at least ten years and over this time have tried various forms of treatment, none of which have made any appreciable difference. After just a few sessions using the power plate machine, I started to notice an improvement. The pain I was experiencing over the hip area has completely gone and the pain and stiffness in the lower back region has also been helped. At last I have found a form of therapy which offers real hope in alleviating the symptoms associated with this chronic disorder.

Dear Jackie

As you know 1 am a 40 year old fire-fighter who has been working out regularly for over 20 years.

For the last two years I have been suffering with persistent lower back pain. Having tried many ways to alleviate the problem I turned to Power Plate and within a short space of time the back pain has significantly eased and I am now almost trouble free.

I am using the Power Plate in conjunction with my gym workouts and have noticed strength increase in my back, abs and core muscles, as well as improved general well being, which I put down to the vibration training. My Power Plate workout time is one third of the time I’d spend in the gym, giving me more free time.

In summary, I will continue this regime at Good Vibrations in conjunction with the gym workouts as I feel this is the answer for me.

I first went to Good Vibrations in August 2006 in the hope that could strengthen my body for the long flight out to Australia in the October of the same year., having suffered many months of back trouble and was being trcatcd for a trapped sciatic nerve and not able to sit down for any length of time. I have to admit that I was very sceptical at the time and did not quite see what this form of exercise could do for me with such little effort on my part. However, it did strengthen my muscles and did make the flight a little easier for me.

Whilst in Australia it was diagnosed by a Chiropractor that my pelvis was in fact twisted and had been like this for many, many months this misalignment of the body, caused me much pain and discomfort, so much so that I did in fact lose the use of both of my arms. So upon my return to the UK I again went back to Good Vibrations for muscle toning and strengthening to see if this form of exercise would help me as it had done before. When I went back to Good Vibrations I was not able to lift my left arm high enough for me to eat, put the washing out on the line, comb my hair and do all the things that one takes for granted.

Having attended classes at Good Vibrations 2/3 times each week since January of this year, I now have full movement in my left arm with very little or no pain and I continue to improve my body strengthening, doing exercises that once were impossible for me to even contemplate and I now find that I am able to do them. I have toned up all the muscles that had not beea used for a very long time and am now able to fit into clothes that I haven’t worn for years - my whole body has been toned and re-shaped. I am stronger, have more energy to do the things that I want to do in my retirement and I think that these machines are brilliant and I shall continue to go to the classes for as long as I am able.

So if you are out there thinking about whether you should try it or not, I say give it a go, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I have MS. I don’t have a lot of energy, and what I have needs to be conserved for the daily necessities of existence.

I used to be a professional sportsman. I am accustomed to pushing myself in training with a view to gaining positive, tangible benefits.

The two seemed incompatible. If I exercised, I risked exhaustion . If I didn’t, I felt lethargic, inadequate, unfulfilled.

That’s where Good Vibrations’ Power Plate comes in. This is an exercise regime that doesn’t demand loads of pedalling or pushing or lifting - all difficult for me because my right arm and right leg are weak. This is an exercise regime that doesn’t make huge demands on time or energy, yet still promotes the feeling of well-being that comes from exercise and, after only a handful of sessions, has produced noticeable results.

My right leg used to feel like a lump of badly cast concrete that I was forced to drag around, balance on and control. After a dozen sessions on Power Plate it still feels heavier than it should — I won’t be challenging for Mark Ramprakash’s Strictly Come Dancing title any time soon - but it does feel more toned, more flexible and more reliable.

I’ve been able to gradually increase the intensity - but not the duration- of the sessions, so that I feel tested, challenged and extended - but not exhausted.

It’s early days, but the signs are good.

GOOD VIBRATIONS is an excellent service.  Working full time on different shift patterns often leaves me feeling tired.  Good Vibrations is the cure.

Three sessions a week is easily possible (each session only last about 30 minutes) and already I am feeling the benefits and noticing them too.

At Good Vibrations I have found a relaxing place to unwind, a good way to work out (though by no means easy!), excellent support and help from the staff and a place to have some fun.

I recommend the classes!

“When I needed to push the limitations of my fitness levels I used the Power Plate. In twelve weeks I took the condition of my body from good to excellent. It revolutionised my training practice and helped me achieve the best shape of my career. It is in my opinion an invaluable tool for professional athletes.”

Peter Nicol MBE, former world no. 1 Squash Champion and Director of The Lifestyle Institute

"It’s amazing, my muscles really feel loosened up. I love it. It really makes your body work hard. I go running about three times a week and I think using Power-Plate really complements my running. As well as toning it’s remedial, it’s like massage combined with muscle training. Get a great endorphin rush and it’s perfect for ab training because I hate ab training and this makes it so much easier."

Natalie Imbruglia, Singer/Performer

"Power Plate is a fast and effective strength workout and I like it before a round of golf because it helps me be loose and flexible."
